Brow Lift

As the muscles in the face begin to relax as the years go by, this can lead to the brows descending down the face and creating an ‘overhang’. Botulin Toxin (Botox) is one temporary method of reversing this effect, however brow lift surgery is more permanent. A brow lift is a procedure that lifts eyebrows that have become droopy (this is referred to as a ‘brow ptosis’). The operation may be performed on its own or, more commonly, in conjunction with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty (an upper eyelid lift or cosmetic eyelid operation).Brow lift surgery consists of three different methods. All involve cutting the forehead tissue to leave a deep exposed surface, elevating the brow and allowing it to heal in a higher position.
